CityHive is on a mission to transform the way that youth are engaged in civic processes, planning and decision-making in Vancouver, and YouthfulCities is a global initiative to rank the world’s top 100 cities from a youth perspective and lead a unique urban regeneration in the process.
Together, CityHive & Youthful Cities are co-hosting the 30Network on Civic Engagement. This pop-up think-and-do tank brings together the top 30 young urban influencers under 30 in Metro Vancouver to take a deep dive into the issue and build projects to address civic disengagement in the region.
You don’t need to be an expert in civic engagement, a political science student, or know everything there is to know about cities and municipal governments.
We’re looking for 30 young urban influencers under the age of 30 with a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences. We’re looking for movers and influencers who aren’t afraid of rolling up sleeves, diving into an issue, working closely and collaboratively, and creating impactful projects.
Together this cohort of 30 will co-vision and reimagine what an engaged city looks like and what it means to be engaged, and launch projects on-the-ground to push these ideas forward.
The five sessions & public launch event will take place over the following dates from March to May 2018:
APPLICATIONS ARE DUE MARCH 12TH, 2018 @ 11:59PM.
QUESTIONS? EMAIL INFO@CITYHIVE.CA.
The application takes about 30 minutes to complete and cannot be saved. Applications are being reviewed on a rolling basis until March 12th, 2018.
