CityHive is on a mission to transform the way that youth are engaged in civic processes, planning and decision-making in Vancouver.
YouthfulCities is a global initiative to rank the world’s top 100 cities from a youth perspective and lead a unique urban regeneration in the process.
Together, CityHive & Youthful Cities are co-hosting Vancouver’s 30Network: Housing & Affordability, a pop-up think & do tank of the top 30 young urban influencers under 30.
There has been a lot of talk about young people being affected by inaffordability and housing, but not as much talk with or by young people. The 30Network will take this conversation one step further. Over four sessions, these 30 influencers will co-create innovative solutions to housing and affordability challenges in Vancouver, in collaboration with key partners in the city.
You don’t need to be a housing expert or know everything there is to know about affordability challenges. We’re looking for 30 young urban influencers under the age of 30 with a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences. We’re looking for influencers who aren’t afraid of rolling up sleeves, diving into an issue, working closely and collaboratively, and creating impactful projects. The four sessions will take place over four days between February-May. Dates are tentatively set for:
The Application is now closed, and the 2017 cohort has been selected. Please follow CityHive on Facebook and Twitter @cityhivevan to hear about the 30Network on Housing & Affordability, plus more on how you can be involved!
We would like to thank all of our partners, without whose support the 30Network YVR would not be possible.
