Vincent grew up in Burnaby and studied Political Science at Simon Fraser University. Post-graduation, Vincent found himself working in the non-profit field, focusing on international development and fundraising for an international charity. Turning his interest to the domestic level, he is currently the Program Coordinator at UBC’s Centre for Community Engaged Learning where he manages and implements several community-based learning programs. He works with his colleagues at the Centre to coach and mentor students about how to engage with community, while also facilitating workshops on topics ranging from asset-based community development to root cause analysis. With a system thinking mindset, Vincent enjoys unpacking the challenges that come with shaping a young city like Vancouver. He believes that any viable solution to the growing laundry list of issues that his generation faces will need the input of a young civically minded population.
