Alexandra Huang

Alexandra aims to create a positive impact by empowering communities to achieve sustainable, long-term change. She is the Development and Communications Manager at Kiwassa Neighbourhood House, where she focuses on fundraising and sharing the inspiring stories of a vibrant East Vancouver community. With over three years of experience in the global social sector, she has worked alongside nonprofit leaders in diverse issue areas such as education equity, economic empowerment, climate, food security, and child welfare in more than 30 countries. Earlier in her career, Alexandra spent half a decade working in the advertising industry, where she honed her skills in strategic communication. One of her key projects was the launch of the UNICEF SaferKidsPH program, which aims to reduce online sexual abuse and exploitation of children in the Philippines. 

She recently completed her Advanced Diploma in Sustainable Business Leadership at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, where she explored how sustainable strategy, systems thinking, circular economy models, and impact measurement can drive change across sectors.
