Anneka Hendricks Wang
Anneka is a nonprofit professional and advocate for community-led change. Her background spans program evaluation, community programming, and education, with a focus on integrating lived experience into program design. She currently works in the gender-based violence and anti-human trafficking sector, where she develops and evaluates mental health and addictions programming for survivors.
Anneka studied Sociology and Social Entrepreneurship at McGill University. She is particularly interested in collaborative program design, systems change, and community-informed approaches to research and evaluation. She has experience leading qualitative research projects and evaluations, as well as facilitating group discussions to translate complex issues into accessible insights. Her work is grounded in listening, relationship-building, and learning from lived experience to support more responsive and accountable programs.
Through her involvement with CityHive’s Youth Advisory Committee, Anneka is interested in how youth perspectives can meaningfully inform planning, policy, and long-term decision-making.
