Eli Ambrose

Communications & Engagement Coordinator

Eli Ambrose (any pronouns) is a writer, performer, and engagement specialist living and working on the unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples. As a queer, racialized, and disabled settler, Eli is devoted to connecting people and communities.

Eli has an interdisciplinary, exploratory approach to engagement, constantly learning and developing new ways to foster authentic dialogue. Making use of creative tools like collective storytelling and collage, Eli helps communities share information and power to build trusting relationships that last.

At CityHive, Eli has supported youth-focused communications and engagement initiatives and programs addressing a variety of topics including civic education, environmental stewardship and sustainable food systems, mental health and wellbeing, and youth leadership. Eli works across a spectrum of modes, including designing advisory programs, training engagement practitioners, facilitating focus groups, and mentoring youth.

Eli has a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the British Columbia Institute of Technology.
